Vibrant colours and Afrocentric prints. Fancy bow knots, ties or just a simple tuck. The tradition of turbans popularly known as headwraps has successfully resurfaced in the fashion industry to become a must-have accessory for women in the 21st century. At the moment, Hadiatou Barry is highlighted as one of the most talented young women who is changing the trend with her African creations.

She illustrated in her fashion that being beautiful is not just about having straight hair, but it is about self-expression and embracing who you are. For years, African women have been using chemicals and other dangerous substances to get that long, straight hair that they think will make them look prettier. However, this young lady believes it is not just having straight hair or wearing extensions that make you beautiful but just wearing authentic African clothing such as a  headwrap. She models this headwrap with pride.

Recently, she took it to another level where she launched her online fashion store; shop-hadia.com. Selling headwraps that can be worn with just about anything in your closet. This young entrepreneur is illustrating the authenticity of African fashion in her daily life as well as in her store.
